A NEW golf programme at Trump Turnberry is promising players the chance to sharpen their skills during the off-season.

The golf course has launched its Winter Academy Programme, offering coaching, simulator sessions and rounds of golf on the King Robert the Bruce course for £499 per person.

Running from November 1 to March 31, the package includes three 45-minute lessons with a PGA professional, four one-hour Trackman iO simulator sessions and 12 one-hour Trackman range sessions.

Alistair Kyle, golf academy manager at Trump Turnberry, said: "Winter is a good time to work on the parts of the game that can be difficult to address during a busy playing season.

"Having lessons, regular practice sessions and rounds on King Robert the Bruce within one package gives golfers a clear way to do that.

"We also want people to enjoy spending time at the Academy.

"Being able to bring friends along to the range or simulator makes practice more sociable, while the coaching helps give each session a purpose.

"The aim is for golfers to reach the spring feeling more confident about their game."

Participants can bring up to three guests to each simulator or range session.

The package also includes four rounds on the King Robert the Bruce course, rated a top 50 course in the world by Golf Digest.

Guests can join each round for £50 per person.

Golfers will also receive an invitation to a Winter Academy social night, plus a 20 per cent discount on food and drink at the academy café.
