SOUTH Ayrshire rugby sides kept the good feeling going on Saturday as they enjoyed another perfect weekend.
For the second consecutive week, all three sides from the area in action picked up impressive victories.
In the National Premiership, Ayr have already secured top spot in the regular season table but are hungry for more.
They made it 15 consecutive bonus point wins on Saturday with a resounding 47-5 win away to Hawick.
A penalty try had the visitors seven points up after just two minutes before the hosts were reduced to 14, less than midway through the half.
Jamie Shedden, Alex McGuire and Fergus Johnston all added tries before the break as Ayr had the bonus point wrapped up after 40 minutes.
Hawick did hit back with a try of their own after the break, but efforts from Bobby Beattie, Cammy McGarey and a second for Shedden ensured a comfortable afternoon for Grant Anderson's men.
In National Division One, it wasn't quite so comfortable for Marr as they played out a thriller away to Gala.
There was only one point in it but it was the Troon outfit who took the victory with a battling 28-27 win on the road.
The result keeps Marr within the top three positions in the standings with just four games left to play.
Meanwhile, Carrick further strengthened their bid to claim the West Division One title with a resounding 50-17 win at home to Strathendrick.
The hosts were trailing at the break with tries from Liam Wyllie - who also notched a penalty - and Callum Alexander answered with three scores from the visitors, who led 17-15 after the opening half.
It was an incredible second half showing which earned the hosts a maximum five points, with Louis Fraser the first to crash over as he gave Carrick the lead.
Lewis Clark and Euan Hutchison then added to the advantage before both Fraser and Clark scored their second tries to round off a remarkable 40 minutes.
The result keeps Carrick two points clear atop the table with six matches remaining in the season.
