In the Premiership, Ayr RFC made it two wins from two to start their season as they travelled to face Heriot's Rugby.
In a match streamed live on the Scottish Rugby YouTube channel, Grant Anderson's side dominated their way to a 48-14 victory.
Tries from Jamie Shedden, Robbie Orr, Ryan Sweeney, Jamie McAughtrie and doubles from Fergus Johnston and Luca Bardelli secured a bonus point win for the Millbrae outfit.
The result keeps Ayr atop the table as one of four teams with a perfect record after their opening two fixtures.
Elsewhere, Marr RFC got their National Division One campaign started following their relegation from the top league last season.
The Troon team showed early on that they intend to bounce straight back with a comfortable 40-21 win away at Jed-Forest RFC.
Scott MacDonald, Cammy Young, Jamie Braddock, Jack Broadfoot, Ewan Morrison and Ciaran Wood scored the tries as Marr secured a bonus point from the encounter.
Into the regional leagues and Carrick RFC maintained their perfect start to the West Division One season following their promotion last campaign.
The Maybole outfit were 40-10 winners over Ayrshire rivals Cumnock - making it two bonus point wins from their opening two fixtures.
Despite the season still being in its infancy, Carrick are one of only two sides to boast a perfect record thus far.
In women's rugby, just one Ayrshire side was in action over the weekend, with Marr travelling to face Annan in West Division Two.
Unfortunately, it was a disappointing match which ended in a 100-5 defeat for the Troon club.
