A TRIO of titles are on the line for Ayrshire rugby sides as their league seasons come to an end.
Only a handful of matches remain of the season - though each will now hold heightened importance for their respective clubs.
In the National Premiership this weekend, Ayr brought their regular season to a close as they secured a 53-21 win at home to Selkirk.
The result means the Millbrae side head into the play-off stages unbeaten at home and topped the table.
Though to secure title glory, their impressive form will need to continue into the semi-final and final.
Ayr will aim to secure their shot at glory in their semi-final match on Saturday, April 19, when they host Currie Chieftains - who will finish their campaign in fourth.
While the South Ayrshire side will be favourites, the visitors inflicted Ayr's only defeat of the regular season so should not be taken lightly.
Staying in the top league, Marr still have two matches left to play after losing 31-0 at home to Heriot's on Saturday, March 29.
The Troon side currently lie in second last position though could climb two places should they secure maximum points in the coming weeks.
Into National Division Three and Garnock RFC played their penultimate match of the season this weekend.
The Lochshore side lost out 49-19 at home to Howe of Fife - who claimed the title as a result - and will round their season off on April 12.
After back-to-back promotions to earn a place in the division, Garnock will be pleased with how their first campaign has gone despite being destined to finish in the bottom half of the table.
In National Division Four, Ardrossan Accies also have just one match to play after losing 22-3 away to Stewartry on Saturday.
The Memorial Field club have enjoyed a strong season after promotion last campaign though will finish the season in second place.
Strathmore proved to have too much this season - winning promotion with a perfect campaign.
In West Division One, Kilmarnock have all but secured the league title and promotion into the national leagues.
The East Ayrshire outfit were 52-7 winners over local rivals Cumnock on Saturday in what is their penultimate match of the season.
They need just one point from their final match to wrap up the title though need to wait until April 19 to play again - away to Annan.
However, any slip up from title rivals Lenzie before then and the trophy is will be coming to Kilmarnock.
In West Division Two, Irvine showed what they are capable of in their penultimate match of the season.
In testing conditions, the North Ayrshire club drew 10-10 with second placed Wigtownshire.
Still in with a chance of finishing in the top half of the table, Irvine have taken to the league well after promotion last campaign.
The league's other Ayrshire side, Carrick, were out of action on Saturday - with the weather getting the better of their fixture away to Birkmyre.
The South Ayrshire club still have slim title hopes with three matches left to play.
They would, however, need current unbeaten leaders Strathendrick - who they still need to face - to lose twice to be in with a shout.
