Marr Rugby Club to hold mini festival for P1-P3 players

MARR Rugby Club are hosting a mini festival for P1-3 pupils later this month.

The Troon club's event will be held from 11am on Sunday, March 23, with youngsters from five visiting clubs set to compete - Stirling, Dalziel, Biggar, Strathaven and Cumnock.

A club spokesperson said: "Marr Rugby has one of the largest mini sections P1-P7 across Scotland something which the club is proud of as it is all volunteer coaching and parent helpers to make this happen

"We are delighted to host this festival and hope all the players have a fun and action-packed day

"Here at Marr Rugby we are committed to growing the game at all levels, encouraging players of all abilities to get involved.

"We would like to thank everyone involved who has volunteered to help to run this event, to all parents for their continued support and sponsors of the club."

All games will be played on the main pitch in front of the clubhouse.

Each team will consist of a maximum of 10 players, with six playing at any one time. Game time will consist of 8/10 minutes, with two minutes of rest in-between games.
