FORMER Ayr United captain Nicky Devlin is set to make his international bow for the first time.
The full-back has been called up to Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for the upcoming Nations League games against Croatia and Portugal.
The 30-year-old is enjoying a fantastic season with unbeaten Aberdeen, playing every minute for the Pittodrie side so far.
Devlin spent three seasons in South Ayrshire, playing more than 100 games for the Somerset Park side.
He was handed the captain's armband aged just 21 by manager Ian McCall, becoming the youngster skipper in more than a century.
Devlin led Ayr to promotion from League One in 2016, and later signed for Walsall. He had a spell at Livingston before moving north to Aberdeen.
Devlin will link up with former Ayr frontman Lawrence Shankland and former Ayr academy prospect Ben Doak in the squad.
