Two more players have been released from their contracts as Ayr United's summer rebuild continues. 

The club has confirmed that it has exercised the option to release Ahkeem Rose and Franny Amartey from their contracts at the end of this season.

A club spokesperson said: "Thanks to both for their efforts during their time at Somerset Park and they leave with our best wishes for the future."

The Honest Men had already confirmed that Paul Smith, Dimi Konstantopoulos and Charlie Albinson would be departing Somerset Park when their contracts expired.

Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed that the loan deals of several players have now expired.

Amongst those whose loan deals have now come to an end are this season's top goalscorer Anton Dowds and popular winger Logan Chalmers.

January additions Jack Sanders and Kurt Willoughby are also set to head back to their parent clubs alongside Harry McHugh and Josh Clarke.

Still in contract at the club are Robbie Mutch, Ollie Ecrepont, Nick McAllister, George Stanger, Sean McGinty, Ben Dempsey, Andy Murdoch, Roy Syla, Jamie Murphy, Fraser Bryden, Mark McKenzie, Scott Tomlinson, Max Guthrie, Dylan Watret, Lucas McRoberts and Aiden McGeady.
