Ayr United is inviting golfers to sign up for its annual Golf Day this summer. 

This year's event will take place at Turnberry on Friday, June 28, starting at 9am. 

The club is looking for teams of three to join for an early morning shotgun start on the King Robert The Bruce course.

Each team will be drawn with a member of the coaching staff or first team to complete the team of four, before a Texas Scramble competition.

The cost to enter a team of three is £500. The Golf Day will be sponsored by T2Green and Full Swing Golf.

US based business, Full Swing, are putting up one of their Kit Launch Monitors as a prize.

Players will have the chance to take home the monitor, which retails in the States at $4,999.

T2Green, an indoor golf studio based in Crown Street in Ayr, are offering full studio hire for up to 12 players on either a Friday or Saturday night which is worth £280.

As well as your round of golf, your entry free will also cover the sponsorship of a hole with your name/business on the official scorecard, a breakfast roll and hot drink prior to your tee time and a lunch afterwards, all at the Turnberry Resort.

The club will support both of its charity partners, Ayrshire Cancer Support and Whiteleys Retreat, at the event who will run additional on-course competitions.
