An Ayr football star marked a major milestone after making his 200th appearance for Whitletts Victoria on Wednesday night.

Jordan Boyd played 186 times for the club, scoring 58 goals, before being signed by Irvine Meadow.

He returned to South Ayrshire earlier this year and has played a further 14 games for the Vics.

He reached the milestone in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw away to St Roch's.

Speaking to Whitletts, Jordan said: "I'm honoured to reach this milestone with Whitletts Victoria, a club that has given me so much over the years.

"It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful to my teammates, coaches, and the fans for their unwavering support."

Manager Mick McCann added: "Jordan is a true asset to Whitletts. He embodies the spirit of the club and the local community.

"His 200th appearance is a testament to his hard work and dedication to both the game and club."

In honour of Boyd's achievement, the club is planning a special award.

A club spokesperson said: "With the support of his teammates and the community behind him, Boyd is determined to reach new milestones on the pitch.

"Boyd's dedication truly is the fabled enduring spirit of a local lad playing football for his local community. 200! Congratulations Boydie!"

Vics moved back to their local stomping ground in November on completion of their New Voluntary Park stadium.

They spent 11 years playing home matches at Dam Park following the enforced closure of their former Voluntary Park ground.
