PLAYERS at Ayrshire's only powerchair football club have launched an appeal for new volunteer coaches and helpers to join their set-up and give the game a boost in the area.

The Ayrshire Tigers are looking for people who can help out at their weekly training sessions and on match days.

Training sessions are held on Tuesday evenings at the Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr.

A club spokesperson said: "The club is happy if you just wish to assist the current coaches to set up drills etc but it would be great if you have coaching experience or qualifications."

Set up in 2015, the club is a member of the Scottish Powerchair Football League and is affiliated to the Scottish Powerchair Football Association, with a team competing in the Scottish Premiership.

The Tigers currently have 10 full-time members (with four players under 18), who have a range of physical disabilities.

If you are interested in helping the club, email info@ayrshiretigers.co.uk or call Stuart Niven on 07936 295779.
