AYR United's dream start to the Scottish Championship season has been recognised by the presentation of not one but two awards.
Manager Lee Bullen was named the Championship Glen's Manager of the Month for August - and Dipo Akinyemi has won the cinch Championship Player of the Month prize too after finding the net seven times since the start of the campaign.
After an opening-day draw with Arbroath, the Honest Men chalked up wins over Queen's Park, Cove Rangers and Dundee and a draw with Hamilton Accies before starting September with a 2-1 win over Morton at Cappielow.
Ayr now find themselves a point clear of Partick Thistle at the top of the table going into this Saturday's clash with Raith Rovers at Stark's Park, as Scottish football resumes after the death of the Queen.
The player of the month award for Akinyemi is the first for an Ayr player since September 2019.
The Club are delighted to announce that @Dipo_Akinyemi has won the @spfl @cinchuk Championship Player of the Month for August.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said: “Lee Bullen has led Ayr United to a superb start to the Scottish Championship season and his side produced a tremendous run of results in August to go top of the table.
“Bullen and his backroom team have done a great job in bringing in new faces and introducing a style of play which makes Ayr a real force in the division again.
“Our voting panel were unanimous that the first Glen’s Manager of the Month award in the Scottish Championship had to go to Ayr United.”
Bulen said: “It’s always nice to receive some recognition. As far as I am concerned, this award is not just for me; it’s also for my players and my staff.
"It acknowledges all the hard work right throughout the club that has contributed to the start of the season.”
