A FORMER Prestwick Academy pupil will fight for a WWE title this Saturday in the biggest UK wrestling show for 30 years.

Drew McIntyre is set to headline WWE's Clash at the Castle event this Saturday.

The show, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, is the biggest UK wrestling event since Summerslam at Wembley in 1992.

Drew will be fighting Roman Reigns for the WWE and Universal titles this Saturday.

He told Sky Sports: "This is a gigantic show. It's one of the biggest WWE shows of all time in my opinion.

"It's the biggest stadium show we've had for 30 years.

"I've been pushing for it for a very long time. I've told everyone that the UK fans are the most passionate and loyal WWE fans and they deserve for us to give them a big show."

Drew is also a massive Rangers fan and received some words of encouragement from Gers star Scott Arfield ahead of his title match this Saturday.

McIntyre has been pursuing a career in professional wrestling since the age of 15, and also has a master's degree in criminology from Glasgow Caledonian University.
