WHITLETTS Victoria have confirmed that the club have cut ties with their main sponsor, Clarke ePOS (UK) Ltd.

It comes after the club claim that the company “repeatedly failed to adhere to the agreed schedule of payments last season”.

The club released a brief statement regarding the situation, on their website, on Friday, July 8.

They said: “This has left the club out of pocket by a substantial sum and in order to protect the long term interests of the club we have had no alternative but to cut short our original two year agreement.

“A newspaper article suggests that the Scottish FA may undertake an investigation into the company’s involvement in Scottish football, therefore the club will make no further comment on the matter.”

The club were referring to articles written about the company, and their alleged failure to stump up promised cash to other clubs they were involved in.

This included Scottish League One side Falkirk, and Scotland’s only professional basketball team, the Glasgow Rocks.

Premier League side Livingston also severed ties with the company, though have yet to provide anymore clarity on the situation.
