Troon manager Jimmy Kirkwood hailed his side’s team spirit as they fought back to beat Kirkintilloch Rob Roy 3-2 at the weekend.
The Seasiders took the lead before the break at Guy’s Meadow via the head of Tommy Maitland.
However, not long into the second half, the away side were reduced to 10 men when Ben Black was shown a second yellow for simulation.
The hosts took advantage of the extra man on the park to go 2-1 up thanks to goals from Craig Truesdale and Robbie Young.
But a dramatic late double from Dale Moore meant the 10 men went home with the three points in the Premier Division clash.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Kirkwood said: “For me what we have got amongst our players is an amazing collective and they all work for each other.
“The atmosphere in the dressing room after the game was amazing from the point of view that we came back from a certain defeat to a victory.
“In my 12 years at Troon, I would put that performance in my top three games.
“The way the players dug in and defended from back to front was incredible.”
