Work on Ayr United's new Somerset Hub is due to begin within the next two weeks.

After months of planning, construction of the new facility is set to go ahead around the beginning of May, with work expected to last for around 26 weeks.

Plans for the Somerset Hub, which will see a social club, offices and a shop installed outside the club’s stadium, were given the green light by South Ayrshire Council last year.

Kenny Blair of Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd will be our Project Manager will be the club's project manager, with Ayr hping to have numerous local contractors involved.

The hub will include new office space for staff, inluding the academy and lottery workers.

A new club shop with changing facilities will also be included.
