Ayr United have announced David Hopkin as their new manager.
He will go straight into the dugout for the Scottish Championship match against Hearts on Saturday.
Mark Kerr left the club at the end of last month after a run of results that left the club in a relegation struggle.
Hopkin left Morton at the end of last year.
On the appointment, Ayr United Owner and Chairman David Smith said: “We are delighted to get our man.
"When we spoke to David it became obvious that there is a synergy between what we as a club want to achieve, and the aspirations and ambitions that he has for Ayr United".
