CELTIC outcast Jack Hendry is set to join KVV Oostende on a one-year loan deal, according to reports.

The 25-year-old spent last season on-loan in Australia with Melbourne City, but much of his time down under was wrecked by a horror knee injury.

Now the former Dundee defender is aiming to get his career back on track and the Daily Record report that he will spend next season in Belgium.

The report also states that Hendry turned down options in Scotland in favour of having another go abroad.

It is understood that Hendry is currently with Oostende representatives completing a medical with a deal expected to be signed in the coming days.

Brendan Rodgers brought Hendry to Celtic in 2018, but he has failed to lockdown a first team spot for the Hoops since his move.
