A TALENTED teenage girls footballer is aiming to reach the top of the game and hopes to be capped for a country following a glittering season.


Abigail Eadie (16) from Maidens (pictured) recently won the U17 Player’s Player of the Year from Glasgow City and is setting her sights on making the top team.


She said: “For the last three years I have represented the south west regional squad and been to training camps at Tulliallan and represented Scottish schools for three years in south west team . My aim well is to hopefully get a Scotland cap and into the Glasgow City first team.


"I want to keep aiming high with Glasgow city Push myself at all times to reach my goal of playing first team football. Abigail was even when she joined her first girls team Carrick Colts and then she moved to Dalrymple Thistle and Kilmarnock FC where she captained the U13 and also U15 team. She then moved to Glasgow City to develop further to which and won the league and the league cup, scored numerous goals and hat-tricks playing from Centre midfield She travels around 450 miles a week while holding down a part time job."
