JUBILANT boss Mark Kerr praised his Ayr United side after they gave him a first victory at Cappielow last night.
Goals from Craig Moore, Craig Moore and Craig McGuffie helped them defeat 'Ton for a second time this season.
Kerr said: "It was brilliant to get the win and see the fans celebrating. I felt we were comfortable at 2-1 but we lost a goal credit to the boys and Craig McGuffie and Kris Doolan contributed to the third goal.
"Craig Moore went through on a one-and-one situation and looks sharp and hungry, he's been back for a month. He has the desire to show everyone he is fit. To see him scoring was amazing. I felt the game suited his style and it was a good finish.
After a scrappy first half that was poor on chances, goals came thick and fast in the second set of 45 minutes, Jack Baird opened the scoring for Morton on 46 mins, but his effort was immediately cancelled out by Moore.
Ayr took the lead in 54 minutes through Luke McCowan, only for Bob McHugh to equalise six minutes later.
A goal from substitute Craig McGuffie eventually sealed the deal on 77 minutes and gave the Honest Men the full three points at Cappielow.
