EXCLUSIVE
AYRSHIRE BULLS' Head Coach Peter Murchie has today revealed a further two additions to his squad for the inqugural FOSROC Super-6s, which kick-off in November, writes Matt Vallance.
The first played named today is hooker Alex Maguire, who was a key member of the double-winning Ayrs squad last season. Murchie says of the player: “Alex is a powerful physical player, who carries well and who I am sure will improve in Super-6.”
The second newcomer is former Glasgow Hawks and Scotland Under-20 stand-off Ross Thompson, who becomes the fourth of the five FOSROC Rugby Academy, Stage II players who will be drafted to Bulls this season.
Murchie said: “For such a young player, in a key position, Ross already has a lot of experience in both the Premiership and age group international rugby. I am sure he can only improve by playing alongside Frazier Climo and learning from him.”
