Macron Scottish Junior Cup Fourth Round

CRAIGMARK BURNTONIANS 2

GLENROTHES 1

A STUNNING last gasp goal saw spirited Craigmark soar into the last 16 of the national competition after a dominant display at Station Park.

They came from behind to defeat the Fife side and former winners of the trophy and ensure their participation in the top event beyond Christmas.

Greg Gallagher's team were worthy winners and will now be tricky opponents for whoever they face in the fifth round.

'Mark had the best of the early exchanges and early on, Scott Dempster saw his shot saved by the visiting goalie. Then Ally Boyle had an effort saved before Marc Dyer headed just over the bar.

It was more of the same in the second half as Dempster, Jordan Barr and Aidan Connor all came close.

Then it was all-square in 70 minutes when Ryan McKay set up former Irvine Meadow man Grant Bolton to slam the ball home.

Marc Dyer then set up Ryan McKay, who had his effort saved.

However with literally the last kick of the ball, Craigmark sealed victory when substitute Bryce Reid peeled his marker before firing in a shot which took a slight deflection on its way into the net, sparking delirium among the home fans.
