McBookie Super League First Division
LARKHALL THISTLE 0
TROON 7
FREE-scoring Troon thrashed Larkhall to guarantee themselves a place in the end-of-season Premier Division play-offs.
They totally dominated the match against a home side, whose management team were bowing out after more than eight years in charge.
The visitors played the ball on the deck on a very dry and bumpy pitch and were well worthy of their victory.
Evan Maley led the way with a hat-trick, while David Syme netted a double and Scott Chatham and a trialist were on target.
The resounding win means Largs finish either fifth or sixth and will face a playoff against Girvan or Arthurlie with the winner clinching a place in next season's Premiership.
TROON: McInnes; Paterson, Brown, Keenan, Strachan, Chatham, Strachan, McCreadie (Curragh 71) Murphy (Lamont 77) Maley, Syme, Trialist (Fulton 64). Subs not used: Miller, Collins.
