PEOPLE from across the community are being invited to dust down their running shoes for a special fundraising event which is being held this weekend.
The Prestwick Oval junior Parkrun is being staged at Prestwick Cricket Club on Sunday, from 9.30am.
It is a 2k run for juniors only (four to 14 year olds).
The Parkrun is organised by a group of volunteers each week. It is held every Sunday at 9:30am.
The event is free but people should register before their first run. Only ever register with Parkrun once and don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder).
Having fun is the aim of the event. Participants can grab a post Parkrun coffee in Fresh & Tasty at Prestwick Tennis Centre.
Sunday's event will be in aid of Children in Need. As well as the usual Junior Parkrun, children have asked to officiate at a 2K run for the adults.
People are asked to support the event which is aimed at raising some cash for a brilliant cause.

Saturday Parkruns are held every week at the Prestwick Oval.
