A SUCCESSFUL charity evening staged in memory of a young Ayr United fan has raised more than £1800.
A quiz night was organised by the Ayr United Travel Club in the Hospitality Suite at Somerset Park on Friday night, in memory of Ciar McPherson, who died suddenly aged just 23 in January.
More than 100 people attended the event which was held to support SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).
A raffle and auction were held on the night and auction prizes were a signed Ayr United ball, a Fourball Footgolf at new course in Kilmarnock and a signed Ayr United top.
The auction raised £491 and the grand total secured for SAMH was £1891.
Thanks go to Jimmy Cope and his staff at Ayr United hospitality suite and James McKay for entertaining.
Organisers thank everyone who came along and also those who donated raffle prizes.
They now plan to make the quiz an annual event.
