AN AYRSHIRE man is accused of subjecting a woman to an alleged campaign of domestic abuse.
John Horner is said to have engaged in a course of behaviour which was abusive to a partner or ex.
The 38-year-old pleaded not guilty to repeatedly shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner and uttering threats of violence on various occasions between July 2, 2025 and June 10, 2026 at an address in Coylton and elsewhere.
Court papers state he repeatedly accused her of infidelity, repeatedly threw items at her and struck a door and a car window whilst she was within the car to her injury.
It's claimed in the same charge that he repeatedly pursued her, and on one occasion repeatedly seized her by the neck, compressing it and restricting her breathing, and straddled her to her injury and danger of life.
He is also alleged to have refused to leave an address in Coylton when requested to do so and attempted to seize a bottle from the woman.
It's alleged he struck her on the body to her injury and attempted to seize a mobile phone from her.
Horner is said to have uttered threats of violence on June 10 this year, repeatedly punched a television, and caused damage to it. It's claimed he refused to leave, attempted to seize a house key from her, seized hold of her mobile phone and threw it.
He is alleged to have repeatedly pushed her on the body and caused her to strike her body against a clothing rail to her injury.
Court papers state he was out on bail at the time of the allegations, granted on February 10, 2026 at Ayr Sheriff Court.
He faces a charge of breaching conditions by approaching and contacting her as well as entering her street on June 10, 2026.
Bail was continued for Horner, of Macnaughton Drive, Kilmarnock.
He will face the allegations again at a later date.
