ST Patrick's Primary School in Troon celebrated Languages Week Scotland with an 'All Around the World' event.

Pupils of every stage engaged in an afternoon of creative activities and learning about different countries, languages, and cultures.

Interactive activities provided pupils an opportunity to build language skills and develop an understanding of different cultures.

At the Canada station, pupils explored indigenous culture by creating traditional wigwams.

In the China section, pupils got a taste of Chinese culture by sampling seaweed and fortune cookies while learning about traditions and symbols.

The Switzerland activity had pupils creating artwork inspired by the Matterhorn, while in Spain, children practised Spanish by learning colours.

The Italy section turned into a language-learning bingo game and the Vietnam section saw pupils crafting colourful lanterns.

The event successfully fostered curiosity and respect for global diversity, and contributed towards recognising the importance of understanding the wider world and the value of languages.
