A TROON author has inspired young readers to explore their imaginations at a local primary school.
Martin Stewart joined a group of P7 learners from Troon Primary for a special event focusing on the creative process and finding stories in the world around you.
Stewart, who lives in Troon, shared the local inspirations behind his new series, Sandy Fin, and gave the children a sneak peek at the next book, Sandy Fin: Mystery of the Phantom Diver.
Pupils also took part in a story-writing workshop during the visit.
