Search the Public Notice PortalAN update has been issued on ongoing redevelopment works for a South Ayrshire rugby club.
Ayr Rugby Club are currently in the middle of a multi-million-pound redevelopment of their home stadium at Millbrae, and the latest part of the transformation is set to be ready next month.
Last year, the club received £200,000 from sportscotland's Sport Facilities Fund, as it gets to work on the third phase of redevelopment at its home.
The funding boost went towards the cost of a new gym for the club's youth and adult sections, as well as upgrading four changing rooms to make them accessible.
They have already installed a brand new 3G pitch and access road to the site, which has helped to boost participation by 800 per cent.
In the same week, South Ayrshire Council also approved the club's revamped plans for its clubhouse.
The proposals also include general internal and external alterations to the Millbrae clubhouse, with a strength and conditioning gym as the focus.
The plans represented an overall increase in area of the existing clubhouse of 288sqm. Much of the works at Millbrae so far have been made possible through a £3 million Macdonald Legacy Award.
The works included a gym extension, upgrading of toilets, new changing rooms, refurbishments to the bar, lounge and function area, and new energy-efficient heating and lighting.

And now, in an update to supporters, officials have announced that the new arena seating on the 1st XV pitch stand is scheduled to open at their upcoming game next month.
The stand will have new stadium-style seating, improved aesthetics, more steps for access, dugouts, and an accessible area for wheelchairs and prams.
Supporters also have the chance to dedicate a seat in the stand with a personalised plaque by donating £500.
A spokesperson from Ayr Rugby Football Club said: "Work began installing the new arena seating on the 1st XV pitch stand at Millbrae.
"This is another huge milestone for the club and another proud step forward for our players, members, and supporters.
"Even better, the stand is scheduled to open for the Ayr v Selkirk match on Saturday, February 7.
"A massive thank you to everyone involved at the club. We can’t wait to welcome you all to the new stand on opening day."
