TROON Library was buzzing with creativity as P5 pupils from St Patrick’s Primary joined local author Gillian Spiller for a special workshop.
The children kicked things off by reading Gillian’s book 'A Shell for Cleo' before diving into a jungle of ideas.
Inspired by the rainforest, they explored animal poems, played with rhyme and rhythm, and even invented their own brand-new creatures by mixing animals together.
A South Ayrshire Libraries spokesperson said: "Each group wrote and performed their own fun poems – and the results were fantastic.
"The enthusiasm, imagination and teamwork on display were truly inspiring.
"A big thank you to Gillian and to all the young poets who brought their creativity to life.
"Troon... the small town with the big heart."
