AVID book fans have enjoyed a fascinating talk from popular author Damian Barr in Girvan.

Girvan Library hosted the inspiring afternoon with the renowned writer, in conversation with Simon Glendenning, chair of Carrick History Society.

Damian captivated the audience as he shared insights from his new, critically acclaimed book 'The Two Roberts'.

(Image: South Ayrshire Libraries) The novel is the moving true love story of artists Robert MacBryde and Robert Colquhoun, spanning from 1930s Glasgow to wartime London.

Visitors can also see their legacy up close as 'Head of a Woman' by Colquhoun and 'Girl Playing a Zither' by MacBryde are currently on display at the McKechnie Institute in Girvan.
