IT was a team effort for young rugby stars in Ayr who helped raise a fantastic amount for charity.

In December 2023, Leo Graham and Oliver Kearsley took part in the Ayr Santa Dash 5km as Leo's dad was receiving care from the Ayrshire Hospice.

Both boys play for Ayr Rugby Football Club under 14's, so this time round the whole team got involved.

In December, they all ran the event through the town to support Leo's fundraising in memory of his dad, Garry.

A hospice spokesperson said: "Together the team raised a fantastic £820. Thank you so much to everyone for your continued support."
