AN AYR showroom has announced the date of its grand opening event. 

SC Designs will open its doors on Saturday, October 5 at its new premises in Station Road. 

SC Designs are a family-run home improvement company currently based in Bishopbriggs but are expanding to Ayr next month.

The business, which first opened in 2010, includes bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms. It is set to open at a site next to Ayr train station.

A spokesperson said: "We're excited to bring our family-run business to Ayr.

"As a truly independent company, we believe in supporting our community by providing high-quality, fully-fitted kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, all with a personal touch."

The grand opening will include live music from local singer Scott Nicol, a drinks reception and canapes.

A spokesperson added: "Don’t forget if you’re in the market for a new kitchen, bathroom or bedroom we have loads of special offers and discounts to celebrate our grand opening.

"You’re invited we’d love to see you there, Saturday, October 5, Station Road, Ayr, 10-5pm."
