SOUTH Ayrshire Council has completed refurbishment works at the Heathfield Waste Transfer Station in Ayr.
The project was led by the authority's professional design services team in collaboration with external contractor, Aroha Escapes.
The upgrade has seen the old, dated weigh bridge office replaced by a modern, fit-for-purpose base for weigh bridge operatives.
Councillor Martin Kilbride, portfolio holder for buildings, housing and environment, said: “The recently completed works at the Heathfield waste transfer station will make a real difference to the operatives who use the station, as well as enhancing the image of the site.
“Once again, our professional design services team have done an outstanding job, working in partnership with Aroha Escapes, to deliver a project which I’m sure will be well received by the staff who are based at the site.”
