Works are progressing well at the site of the new Ayrshire Cancer Support facility in Ayr.
The building on Prestwick Road is being transformed into the region’s only dedicated complete support facility for children and young people affected by cancer.
The Ayr centre will add to the charity’s existing facilities at their Kilmarnock centre and head office in Dundonald Road.
It will also fill the gap in provision for free specialist counselling or therapeutic services for children and young people in the area.
The new centre will include a large drop-in centre, counselling rooms, therapy rooms and spaces for children and young people.
A charity spokesperson said: "We visited our Ayr Centre this week and we were delighted to see the progress that has been made since our last visit.
"The team at Ashleigh Construction are now focused on rebuilding the rooms inside the existing building whilst still developing our fantastic new extension, including a new roof.
"As always, we would like to thank all who have supported, and continue to fundraise for this build. It will be a fantastic space to provide the very best support to those affected by cancer across Ayrshire."
