A host of South Ayrshire businesses have been named as finalists in the prestigious 10th Food Awards Scotland 2024.

The Food Awards Scotland seek to recognise the hard work and efforts of those committed to always providing the country with the freshest of products and amazing delights.

They  also showcase the best restaurants, takeaways, pubs, hotel restaurants, cafes and bistros, as well as those who explore new flavours and cuisines from different cultures.

The Kylestrome and The Tree House in Ayr have both been named as finalists in the Restaurant of the Year category. 

Tempura, Spice Lounge and @Home Thai will all battle for the Takeaway of the Year gong at the awards.

Hotel Restaurant of the Year includes both The Kylestrome and Chestnuts in Ayr, as well as the Carlton Hotel in Prestwick.

Marco's in Ayr has been shortlisted in the Best Fish N' Chips Establishment category, whilst 3idiots in Troon will vie for the Best Indian Establishment title.

Vegan Earth in Ayr has been named as a finalist for both the Best Vegetarian Establishment and Best Vegan Establishment categories.

The ever-popular Nanny Mary's will contest the Dessert Outlet of the Year category, with the Tattie Shack Farm Shop in Prestwick named as a finalist in the Deli of the Year list.

This prestigious event will take place on August 26 at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central.
