A historic Ayr pub has applied for permission to renew its thatched roof.
The Tam O'Shanter, on the town's High Street, is a category B listed building with a unique roof.
The owners of the pub plan to replace the roof with a like-for-like replacement, with the operations of the business not being affected.
The Tam O'Shanter Inn is Ayr's oldest public house and restauranmt serving a range of traditional beers, malts and wines along with a full menu of home cooked traditional Scottish food.
There is also a beer garden, live music and regular entertainment.
The full planning application can be viewed on South Ayrshire Council's planning portal, searching for the reference code 24/00407/LBC.
