Plans have been revealed for a five-property development in Coylton.
Planning permission has been sought for a residential development on scrub land at 44 Joppa, including upgraded access, the removal of an existing shed and landscaping.
The development would include four four-bedroom detached homes, and one two-bedroom detached home.
The properties would have three and two parking spaces respectively, with the site set adjacent to the A70.
There is a small timber framed outbuilding with corrugated tin cladding located at the north end of the site.
The site is bounded by gardens for adjacent residences to the east and west, and dwelling houses and associated outbuildings to the north.
There is a sports centre located to the southwest with tennis courts immediately to the south.
Planning documents state: "Careful consideration should be made to providing native species of local provenance when undertaking landscape works within the grounds of each plot and on amenity areas.
"The developer might also consider installing bat and nest boxes on the external walls of new dwellings and on retained trees to provide roosting / nesting opportunities for local wildlife."
