An Ayr martial arts club are holding a 24-hour "rollathon" in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice.

Instructor Chris Reid and members of his club, Musashi Brazilian jiu-jitsu, are holding the fundraiser at Tam's Brig Dojo on June 29.

They’ll be sparring continuously as a team to push their limits and support the worthy cause. They would welcome donations in support of the charity.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a self defence martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds.

The Ayrshire Hospice cares for adults in Ayrshire and Arran with life-limiting illnesses.

It helps them live as actively as possible to the end of their lives, however long that may be. Hospice care is open to all. It’s free for patients but it’s not free to provide.

They need to raise over £4million each year to provide this service.
