This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Town Twinning agreement between Ayr and Saint-Germain-en-Laye in France.
An event was held to mark the occasion with a signing of agreements between the two towns and the unveiling of a special anniversary bench in Saint-Germain-en-Laye Gardens, adjacent to County Buildings in Ayr.
Mr Araund Pericard, Mayor of Saint-Germain-En-Laye, Mrs Sylvie Habert-Dupuis, 1st Depute Mayor, along with members of both Ayr and Saint-Germain-en-Laye Town Twinning Associations attended and entertainment was provided by pupils from local primary and secondary schools.
Celebrations continued at an event held at the Belleisle Conservatory, which was arranged by Ayr Town Twinning Association.
