Investigations are ongoing into the cause of a gaping hole in a Troon street.

Scottish Water say that a sink hole was reported in Troon yesterday (May 15).

A section of the road on Bentinck Drive appears to have collapsed, leaving a wide hole in the ground.

The hole is believed to have appeared quickly, with images on social media showing how it started out as a dip in the road.
