The setup for the highly-anticipated return of Pavilion Festival to Ayr seafront has started.

The festival, which takes place on Saturday, May 4, is organised by top Scottish DJ Ewan McVicar in his hometown.

STREETrave - Celebrating 35 Years will be staged the following day on Sunday, May 5.

Acts have already been confirmed for the Pavilion Festival including Patrick Topping, Heather Small and many more.

The legendary Glasgow spot Sub Club will also bring its own unique line-up of talent to the festival on the Sub Club Stage.

After selling out in minutes last year, Pavilion Festival - Ayr’s first ever electronic music festival – was a huge hit with fans from across the country.

Around 12,000 people descended on the town’s Low Green over the weekend.

Works have now started on the seafront for this year's event, which is sure to be an even bigger hit.

A spokesperson said: "5 days to go. The site build starts NOW. Let the Pavilion excitement COMMENCE."
