A POPULAR Ayr bakery will open its second shop in nearby Prestwick this weekend.
They Bake, run by Zoe Hunter and Amanda Rodgers, opened in the town in 2020 and has been a huge hit with locals and visitors.
The business, based in the town's Newmarket Street, has taken over the former Electric Bakery Unit on Kyle Street in Prestwick.
Its owners say they have already outgrown their current premises in Ayr, and are now ready to expand further into South Ayrshire.
The pair have now confirmed that the Kyle Street shop will open for the first time at 9am on Saturday, April 13.
They said: "We’ve come a long way in 29 days. This week’s the last final push!
"All the finishing touches will be put in place and we will be baking our socks off to open with a bang.
"To all of our glorious Ayr customers, our Newmarket Street shop will be open as usual with some additional tasty delights."
