A Prestwick air traffic controller completed his final ever transmission - to his First Officer daughter.
Ian Gott retired from NATS (the National Air Traffic Service) after 41 years, and his final transmission from the Prestwick base was to daughter Lauren, a first officer for Jet2.
A NATS spokesperson said: "Every controller's last shift is emotional, but Ian Gott's was extra special!
"After celebrating 41 years at NATS, Prestwick controller Ian's final transmission before his retirement was to First Officer Lauren Gott, his daughter."
Ian said: "I remember taking Lauren down to the airports in Glasgow and Prestwick when she was a young girl.
"I never would have thought all those years ago, that I would be making my last ever transmission from Prestwick Centre to my daughter as a First Officer for Jet2."
