Emergency services were scrambled to search for a missing person near Culzean Castle in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Girvan RNLI lifeboat was called out at around 1.04am on April 3 to assist UK Coastguard and Police Scotland with the search.
Following a search by emergency teams, a casualty was located and all services were stood down from the incident.
A Girvan RNLI spokesperson said: "Once on scene, a shoreline and water search was completed several times from just north of Maidens to the Croy Shore area, with Girvan CRT and additional CRT teams and police searching the grounds of the park and beach areas.
"As we were completing our final leg of the search, information was received from Police Scotland and passed to us via Belfast Coastguard that the casualty had been located and all assets could stand down.
"Girvan Lifeboat then headed for home, where the boat was made ready for the next service call and our amazing volunteer crew could get back home to their beds around 4am."
