Wannabe drummers in South Ayrshire are being urged to sign up for a special session at the Carrick Centre in Maybole.

Drum4UR Life will be visiting the centre on Monday, March 25 for free drumming sessions.

The first is from 11.30am to 12.30pm, with the second from 1pm to 2pm.

The two sessions have been organised at the community venue thanks to a grant of £200 from Destination South Ayrshire.

Group coordinator Michelle Connolly says that anyone who could count to four can drum, and is encouraging folks to have a go at drumming.

She said: “Drum 4UR Life is a community adults drumming group in North Ayrshire. We love to drum, make music together and share our drumming with others.

"Each session is set up to establish a stress-free environment where those who join can enjoy a rich and uplifting experience.

"There is no ‘wrong way’ as these sessions aim to empower those who join to feel positive, valued and achieve their individual goals."

Drum 4UR Life continues to run weekly sessions in North Ayrshire for adults aimed at promoting positive mental health and well-being, and a monthly workshop in Largs.
