A popular Ayr café has confirmed it plans to open a second premises in the town.

Nancy's, in Crown Street, is a busy spot for breakfast rolls, soup, sandwiches, snacks, chips and much more.

Its owners revealed plans last month to open a second premises, as it celebrates its first year in the town.

The news is now official, with the business taking over the former Electric Bakery site on Main Street.

A spokesperson said: "We finally have the keys to our second shop and we’re taking over the old Electric Bakery on Ayr Main Street.

"Keep an eye on our page for our new refurb and our new menu."
