A busy Ayr town centre street will close for around three days later this week.
Works are taking place on a ten-metre section of Academy Street from its junction with the A719.
The closure will start at 8am on February 21, and are expected to last until 5pm on February 23.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the closure will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route will be signed via the A179 Sandgate - A719 Fort Street - end, and in the opposite direction from New Bridge Street - A719 King Street - New Bridge Street - end.
