A popular Ayr restaurant is set to close next week for refurbishment after serving over 58,000 meals last year.
Tempura, in the town's Beresford Terrace, will close its doors from Monday, January 8 to Sunday, January 14 for the mini-makeover.
Its other takeaway venues in Ayr, Prestwick and Kilmarnock will remain open throughout.
A spokesperson said: "Our wee nine table restaurant served 58,416 meals last year and has well exceeded our expectations since opening and it’s now time to give her a bit of TLC.
"Unfortunately we can’t increase the size of the restaurant and are limited to what we can do front of house.
"But we can improve the setup of the bar and kitchen to make things better for the staff and allow for a smoother and more efficient service all round."
