DETAILS have been revealed of the big dates in the Ayrshire agricultural calendar for 2024.

Twenty shows are due to take place in the area over the course of the year – the first of them later this month – as Ayrshire’s farming community comes together to show its best livestock to other farmers and the wider public, to compete for prizes, and to enjoy the chance to socialise.

The biggest event of the year in the area, as ever, will be the Ayr County Show, taking place this year on May 11, though there are lots of other events in towns and villages across Ayrshire too.

The full list of Ayrshire events on Scotland’s 2024 show calendar – along with contact details for the organisers of each event – is as follows.
