More than five million passengers used Ayrshire's train stations between April 2022 and March 2023.

New figures released by the Office of Rail and Road have highlighted the number of entries and exits from each station in that time.

Ayr was the most used station during this period, with over 800,000 entries and exits from the station. 

The least-used station in the region was Ardrossan Town, with just 14,082 entries and exits, an average of just 38 per day.
